I've done some research on milk for an article I wrote a few weeks ago. Those that sell raw milk have humanely kept animals but raw milk is questionable for consumption. You drank it though. I drank it as a child.

Either way, you are right. The milk is for the calf, not us. I believe we are the only mammals that drink another mammals milk. It's kind of unnatural but how did it start? Every country does it.
