My actual words were, "I am going to call Jon Doe tomorrow." He knew Jon Doe was a divorce attorney. So I didn't have to threaten divorce as it were. What pushed me to the limit was all the houses we looked at for years and finally found a perfect one. The realization hit me that he was only pacifying my desire to move and not really planning to do it. That's when I blew my stack. I was filled with regret and sorrow for my outburst, but he did understand when it was all said and done. We ended up loving that house and living there until he caused us to lose it in bankruptcy 25 years later.
