My cat is mean as a snake and never leaves me alone. She lays on me all the time. Your Callie is probably very sweet and hides. Interesting. Why can't you have her back? If she's not bonding with the new lady what's the difference to her? Tell her you'll get her a brand new cat she can spoil and bond with. They are a dime a dozen around here. I got mine out of a ditch when she could barely open her eyes. I doubt she ever even knew her mom. I tell people she's mean because she has PTSD. They just stay out of her way.
