My daughter has never said she wants kids but loves her nieces and nephews and relates to them. She has foreign exchange students every year. They love staying with her and her husband and three dogs in a tiny house. The kids don't seem to care. There are many people without children that are very happy. Your mom probably says that to you because you brought so much joy to her life. My friend's daughter is 42 and married late (the second time). They did IVF, and she just had twins.
