My ex absolutely hated his mother. He had 8 siblings who got along with her but he said he was singled out to be abused by her. He hated her until the day she died, literally. I left him alone with her in her hospital room so maybe he could talk with her. I came back, hugged her goodbye (he didn't) and we left. He told me he never said a word to her the whole time I left them alone. She died later that evening and we were the last to see her alive. Then, he told all his siblings how he was the last one to talk to her?? And he did her eulogy because his sibs all thought he was the Bible expert of the family. He ended it with "Honor your father and mother" as the Bible says to do. . What? But, he hated her and they all knew it. It was all so fake it made me sick.
