My ex did not believe in holidays, so I never even heard a "Happy Valentines Day" from him. I did not know this before I married him. Like I did not know he smoked! How did he keep that from me? I guess I was cluelessly in love. He lived with two smokers, so if he smelled, I chalked it up to that. He could be romantic in other ways, though. When he tried to cancel Christmas, I drew the line there. I had three girls when I married him and an established Christmas tradition. He caught on and even bought me gifts. He never acknowledged Mother's Day, and it wore off on my kids. That part sucks.
