My ex husband is alive. I still can't be with another and he has not been either. It's been almost 9 years. Our circumstances are much different then death. We may still be able to reunite eventually. I just know it was impossible for me to enjoy intimacy with another man. I believe, at this age, we all must make the best of the time we have left.
