My ex just got out of jail and is trying to adapt. He has no home (living with who I think is an ex-girlfriend), no job (but he is claiming social security), and no contact with any of our kids or me. A few texts here and there telling me how ashamed he is and how he's messed up his life so badly. It's true. You know the story of his leaving me (And much of that was my fault) then drinking, losing it all when he was doing great with me. I know I can help him now. It's just that connection we have but he cannot accept my help. He says he let me down very badly, and he did. That's in the past now. I am sorry for him but sobriety this time around is going to be very hard and he needs his family. I hope he comes around. We all love him.
