My husband and I were really in love for a long time. The alcohol turned him into another person. That makes it close to impossible to be friends. He's a huge believer and preaches about God and the Bible to the kids, so they call him a hypocrite and steer clear of him. DUI #4 was the icing on the cake, and as my son says, his dad is a pathological liar. It's all very sad. We had been a "normal" close-knit family. Last year was the first Christmas we did not all spend together (he was in jail), and this year, he chose not to even say Merry Christmas to any of us. I feel the girlfriend he went off with, who did not know he was still seeing me at the same time as her, and claims to be a good Christian, should have run for the hills after she found out all the lies and deception he put us both through. He asked her to marry him and gave her his wedding ring from me as an engagement ring. I saw it on her finger. She did break the engagement when he was in jail. However, she became the only friend he communicated with after going to jail and claims to be helping him only as his "sister in Christ." That's BS! She was divorced 17 years ago and never had a date since...she told me that herself. I try to stay out of all communication of any type with him and remain in No Contact. He sent me a sweet birthday greeting in November, but his birthday is next month, and I will send him nothing. I've come to feel sorry for him...and her.

Hey, sorry for this long comment!!
