My kids really didn't pay much attention to my teeth woes. They probably had no idea. They are lucky they got their dad's teeth and don't have a lot of decay.

Plus, my husband never acted like yours. He was supportive of all my issues. One time he had to remove a stent from my urethra after kidney stone surgery because it was hurting me so bad. He called my urologist and on the phone he talked him through cutting some string and pulling it out. I guess he loved me. Claims he still does!

It sounds like your husband took you for granted and if that's his personality I can't see how you could have happily stayed with him until death.
