My sister had to be in control of everything. It was demeaning. I am a nurse and I could have taken care of my mom.

You should be POA if you are there all the time. I can remember having two nurses on the phone as witnesses to get permission from a POA many states away when other family members were at the bedside. Parents would tend to make the oldest POA and they were not always the best for the job. It causes family problems. I made my cousin POA because I know my kids would argue.
