No apologies needed. I could have written the same note. Mine is a 3x felon, no drivers license, and still not in recovery. She's been in jail many times but never for more than a few weeks. She "helped" a detective bust dealers. Then she got easier sentences.

I give her no money at all. She alludes to having to give men blow jobs for money. Really? Now, that would disgust most mothers but at this point I don't fool myself wondering where she gets her money.

She just says that to get a rise out of me but since its true why should I be surprised? It gets no reaction from me. I tell her to do what she has to do.

You see this is why her siblings have a hard time being associated with her. There is just nothing good to say and people judge them because she's their sister. They don t care about those clowns but its still embarrassing. Hey, your sister has an ad on craigslist....what are my other 3 kids supposed to say to that?

She dragged the class of our whole family down a notch that's for sure.

I've been trying to date for the last 3 years and never once told a guy about her. But, that was easy because most guys don't ask a damn thing about me or my life anyway.

Obviously, I'm not looking for dates anymore.

I hope your son stays clean. I'm sure you know they get drugs in prison all the time. Apparently its not that difficult.

Then, even if they clean up, that stigma follows them everywhere.

Just like it follows you and your family.

A lot of times I want to relocate but my other 3 are children and grandchildren are here.

I'm sad to say this but I appreciate hearing from someone that has experienced this crap and tried to live with its ugliness.
