My neighbor, Sheila, just lost her husband of 50 years.

Ted went to the bathroom, didn’t come back, and she found him on the toilet, dead.

Two weeks ago.

How shocking that had to be.

I know many of you have experienced similar events, and I doubt you ever get over it completely.

“I knew he was gone. I couldn’t get a pulse.” She told me.

We talked about me missing all that was going on outside my door while sitting in my sunroom.

We talked about CPR.

We decided that getting him onto the floor would have been disastrous for the two of us. Ted was a big guy.

She said the rescue squad was there in less than 5 minutes.

They only worked on him for 10–15 minutes before they stopped.
