Oh, Jody….I totally understand that feeling. Don’t feel guilty about it because it must be felt by everyone whose life and family’s life has been affected and hurt by the addict’s actions.

A good friend’s son died 4 years ago from heart damage caused by IV drug use. He was 28. She said she would miss him but knew he would have been fighting this addition the rest of his life and now she knows he’s at peace. That was comforting to hear from her. The sad part is she is right. I’m starting to see she will never be free of this disease.
