Oh no. I have been love-bombed. Nice dates, restaurants, and flowers every month. He bought my iPhone because my old one wasn't holding a charge. He paid for us to go to the southern hills for 4 days. But...I've caught a few things that may be relevant. Yesterday, we were driving around looking at condos and houses. For us, if and when we get married, even though he doesn't want to sell his house. Plus it is putting the cart before the horse anyway. He asked if I was hungry, and I said yes. Then he asked if I wanted McDonald's or Wendy's. Yuk. He knows I don't eat that food. I said I would find something at home. He never suggests places like that. It's always high-end. We ended up at a BBQ place, which was better than fast food, although it basically was fast food! I will beware. I've thought of this, but as a retired pastor, I saw him as being rather selfless. I see that is not true. Some may wonder why I write personal stuff, but here is why. Over the past few years, I've been tricked, fooled, and stabbed in the back too much. I do not see red flags as being severe. Plus, he is welcome to read my stuff, but he has not been interested. That would be an excellent way for him to get to know me better. He read a few things I wrote about him because I sent them to him. I am nothing but honest with this guy.
