Sir Mix-A-Lot sings “Baby Got Back” with a classical twist

Sir Mix-A-Lot, born Anthony L. Ray, but better known by his stage name, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He sings one of my favorite songs of all time “Baby Got Back”.
Sir Mix-a-Lot said he wrote the song to “ challenge beauty standards in big magazines”.
The music was written in 1992 when women’s curves, black women’s in particular, were frowned upon. Magazines, movies, and TV promoted waif-thin bodies as the ideal look for women. Popular culture promoted this.
He credits Jennifer Lopez (and her well-endowed booty) as the inspiration for the song. Then came Serena Williams, Kerry Washington, and Beyoncé. All famous and proud of their beautiful bodies and butts.
A few years ago, actress Blake Lively put her picture on Instagram captioned with lyrics from the song.
