Russia is so big. And so close to China. I don't think Russia is the only country happy to start gulping up smaller countries. And instigate World War III.

During this pandemic, of all times, Putin has to do this?

Are we in sitting ducks the USA ?

Like you say, it would be different if there was a reason, although I'm hard put to think of anything Ukraine could do to piss Russia off.

All these countries that don't build a military, maybe because they are so small, expect the USA to come to the rescue with troops and money.

That money is needed here at home.

And one thing is painfully certain. Russia will win and get what they want.
