Shefali, I think the fall of the Ukraine is inevitable. We cannot go over there and start another Viet Nam. Waste our money and our boys lives for nothing. And you are right. Putin will back off and live on his big victory (it can hardly be called that) for several years. Maybe he'll die soon. But I'm sure Russia has plenty other descendants of Hitler waiting in the wings to replace Putin.

These past 2 years have been monumental in history in my lifetime.

I'm kind of glad I wont be on this earth that much longer because its shaping up to smell bad.
