Since I'm older most men I date insist on paying. They are established in life and are used to footing the bill. I always ask if I can leave the tip. Anytime I get the chance to pay for something, I offer. Once I told a guy I would get our next meal out. The bill came while I was in the lady's room and when I came out he had it sitting by my plate. That may have been my first clue that he was an asshat! Which he did turn out to be. He was paying for 2 "girlfriends" so was getting short on cash. I found that out later. But, I digress. I have my own money and feel its right to pay equally unless he fights me off with a saber and then I give in :-)
