Small towns have cliques just like high schools. She always got portrayed as the bad guy to her dads "good guy". The whole time I was pretty oblivious to all that was going on until the end when she told me a few things. I was stepping in to help her because he usually listened to me but then he died. It was all too late and she got the brunt of the mess that followed.
One of the worse things was the rift with her sister that still goes on today and breaks my heart. Her sister does not realize all my daughter did to help her dad from showering him to giving him his insulin shots. He was always texting me in a panic looking for her if she wasn't at his house on time to help him.
He depended on her and psychologically I think she's still trying to come to terms with how badly she was treated.
