Story Nerd: Nice, Maria. This is a lot of the feeling I had when my grandchildren were born. It seems I have much more time for them than I had for my own. No full-time job, or other commitments. I do recall thinking, considering every situation, about my child first, and what about them? I never felt their dad caught on to that. This is not a criticism of all men, just their father.
