That's a great idea, Grace. He becomes defensive right away instead of just listening to my words. Maybe considering what I'm saying is going to help his popularity. It's immature, and then he pouts and accuses me of being angry with him. Then he says, " I can't take anger". I never raised my voice or made accusations. I explained what he was doing to me and how it made me feel. I gave him examples of me doing that to him. I quiz him a little about details of my life and he flunks that test. Its enough to make me scream but not angry. He can be such an amazing man.

I know what you mean. My ex and I had that honeymoon feeling off and on until our marriage came to a screeching halt. That was probably why it was so shocking when his demeanor changed after drinking alcohol. He is still gone. I cry just thinking about it.
