She’s determined to make it.

My daughter has been tapered off the fentanyl patch and yesterday was the last one. She was feeling pretty good all day yesterday. She sent me a text this morning:

I was restless all night couldn’t sleep on and off a little bit my legs hurt really really bad I’m nauseous and I just feel like crap it’s like having the flu times 20X

It’s hitting her now.

She still has to withdraw, but since the tapering, it should be less traumatic. The leg pain will always be there from the MRSA abscess on her spine. What a Catch-22.

How can she have pain bad enough they gave her a 100mcg fentanyl patch, taper her off, then give her nothing?

She was given Motrin for pain and Zofran for nausea.

This circus has been going on now for 2 and 1/2 months. She’s lucky to be alive. She says she’s been through worse but, like having a baby, you forget how painful it was last time and you go and get pregnant again!

Or, in her case, take drugs again.
