There are arguments against using paper bags and also reusable plastic bags. But plastics in general have become a large problem. These environmentalists are only looking at the cost to make the bags and the effect on the earth's environment, not on the wildlife that dies so mercilessly. I was shocked at the pictures of the poor animals but could not find any royalty free to use. Perhaps that was for the best. Couple this problem with B.R.'s article and we may see some very decimated oceans in the future.
