Tiring is an excellent word to describe the drag it is to have a drug-addicted child and an alcohol-addicted husband. It really sucked. There is one problem. My exs sponsor's mother is in my group. She knows her son is his sponsor. She will know that my ex is drinking again once I talk, but I doubt he told his sponsor. It's all confidential, and I have told no one, but I'm hoping she keeps it to herself when she hears. His sponsor will figure it out soon enough.
