This is so encouraging Jenny. The one time I recall my mom saying her and my dad were proud of me was when my husband and I bought a house on a street where some of my parents friends lived. That made us “successful”. I chalked it up to them growing up in the depression and having so little. Anything monetary meant pride. I tell my kids now I’m proud of them for silly things like being a great mom or getting an award at work. Nothing monetary. Great article!
