This is such garbage for the rest of us. We are going to pay $100 for 2 steak dinners and then leave an extra $20 because the server doesn't get paid much. I see this as so unfair and yet what are we supposed to do? Tipping is so out of hand. Tips are expected everywhere from the airport to the grocery store to the lady that detailed my car. Why? If I had gotten tips while working as a nurse I could have retired 10 years earlier! And how about tipping that nice fireman that kept your whole house from burning down? Or the pilot of the plane that got you safely from Detroit to LA? Where does it end? I figured the lady that does my nails, and I tip $10, makes over $200/day in tips if everyone tips like me. But, the cost of a manicure just went up? Servers really get paid poorly but anyone making a decent wage should not get tips. Period.
