This was so exciting for me to read. My brother and I went there in 2019 and loved it. We did stay in beautiful, modern hotels but we could see from our balconies what looked like bombed out roofs. Our guide then told us they left the roofs like that for tax purposes? Less tax on an unfinished building? Anyway, we cruised the Nile for several days (not on a party boat) and went to Luxor and tons of other places along the way. I would love to be where you are. We did go to the Cataract Hotel for tea time and it was so beautiful. Here is the small story I wrote. I would have to write a book if I was going to write about the whole trip.
