Those incomes posted online are a joke. Around here they post by name and rank the police and fireman salaries. We all know they make way more than that from other sources. I'm sure the judge makes more than what is listed online as well. I suspect on Medium we read about incomes that are forged. Screenshots or not. I believe I see one person that posts a false income LESS than earned to get others to fess up to what they earn. If a reader thinks they are making more or equal to the writer they will tell them. (I fell for it...ONCE). That way they can compare it with the millions they are really bringing in. Good strategy but I have no idea why they care. Why does anyone care what another writer makes? However, you have the choice to read these articles or not. With so much better content (such as yours) it's easy to skip those income articles.
