Three of my four children either smoke or vape. I never smoked and still do not understand it. For the 30 years of my marriage, my husband was going to quit, but he never managed to do it. Nonsmokers like me, who never smoked, have difficulty realizing how hard it must be. The way you describe it, it sounds like torture!
