True, Sarah. And if I had been out with him and he told me that, I would have felt bad for him. It would have been a bummer date for me. I'm not sure if he wanted pity, but I know he was not ready for a date. At least not with me. These all happened within months of each other. It took me that long to see. I needed to ask ahead of time how long their wives had been gone. Some men are offended by that question, but that tells me something is already wrong. It doesn't need to be a secret!
