We divorced in 2016 because of his drinking. But he has wanted to remarry for the last six years, and I almost did. But he kept drinking. Last August, he texted me goodbye! No reason. Would not answer texts, emails, or voicemails. My son told me he had a serious relationship going on! He came back in October all apologetic, saying he was seeing someone (I knew that, and she had been at our wedding in 1987), but too many red flags, different lifestyles, etc. I accepted him back because I did still love him, but he blew me off again three weeks later. He got his 4th DUI shortly after in December, and I also found out he was engaged to her when he returned to me in October. WTF? My life has been a bad soap opera since last summer. If he had not returned in October, I would be further on my way to healing, but I am not doing well for some reason. I would never take him back now, anyway.
