What I like is always the option of moving on if necessary. You're never trapped. Even now, with my commitment to this Life Plan Community, I have seven years to get a partial refund if I want to move. I can get all my buy-in money back if I leave before April 2023. I have no plans to do that, but I like knowing I can. If you don't like or can't get used to your new lifestyle, you can go back and buy a home.....not a good move in this market but eventually. I think you're very wise. The older we get, the harder it is to pull up roots and plant ourselves somewhere else. And the bigger the chore of purging our "stuff". There's a big advantage to being high up....werewolves can't get at you 😉
