When I worked in OB I took care of a few girls who were leaving their babies at the hospital when they were discharged. I felt terrible for them. They all looked blank. They had no counseling or understanding. I was very young and was not a mental health nurse. I just tried to be kind.

I can't imagine how hard that was for you and how brave you had to be to let your baby go.
