Who is that bored they have to critique another writer instead of getting on with their own business?

I suppose they grew up that way and assume it's an OK thing to do. I feel sorry for them. When I get a mean comment I wonder if that person is just having a bad day and needed to be nasty to a complete stranger in order to make themselves feel better. Either way, I don't engage. I don't have time for that game playing. I have yet to see a "terrible" writer on here. There are definitely a few things that annoy me but, as I said, not my business. Just like who you read and don't read is your business. Anyone can stop reading at any time and move on.

I was taught a person who runs others down is trying to make themselves look better. I don't think that works here on Medium.
