WTF, Jan. Were your parents really that mean?
My horse threw me when I was 15 and fractured 2 vertebrae in my back. The doctors told my parents I could have been paralyzed. My dad got rid of my horse, Teddy Bear, while I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Just as well I guess. I would not have been able to ride him or clean his stall with my back injury. I wasn't supposed to be sad either. He went to the police department and became one of their horses. He was a perfectly beautiful Roan color and 17 hands high. I'm sure they took good care of him. Thanks for the memories. Before that day he had been a great horse.
