You are so sweet and I admire your tenacity in doing something about your weight. BMI of 50 is pretty high. Your patents probably were genetically prone to weight gain.
I can cook very well. I had a husband and 4 children living with me at one time. I cooked and baked like crazy! When I became single and lived alone I stopped cooking. I can go all day on an apple and a salad (and maybe a cookie!).
The key here would be my daughter who maintains a figure she works hard to keep. To me, her letting her daughter suffer the same stigma she did, is unbelievable.
So, my daughter is the one I'm working on. Also, my granddaughter is getting some counseling and I am hoping the counselor will talk about eating habits.
I am on this, though. I won't let it go. I love my little princess (I call her that) granddaughter and want the best for her.
Good for you losing weight in a healthy way. It could not have been easy to start and look how far you have come.
