You’re very kind. I loved my mom but we had our differences over the years for sure. I don’t think there is such a thing as a model parent. She’d be the first to say that. The years do soften our hearts and both my parents became easier to get along with as they aged and I grew older. Life has many chapters. The last chapter of my moms life we never had a disagreement. My heart ached for the loneliness in her life when my dad died. She was never the same and that made sense. She lost her other half, her best friend, the love of her life. But, COVID killed her. No doubt about it in my mind.
